Harris Pond is a nickname given to our Burley, Idaho yard, by those who have visited us. We developed it by re-claiming an old gravel pit and making it a fun place for our family and friends to enjoy. We are not a business, nor do we want to become a business. We do allow others to come and visit us (see criteria at the bottom of this page), but we are not open to the public, and we do not maintain "hours". The upkeep is financed solely by our family, donations and the help of extended family & friends. Since it is our home, we do have a few rules that we ask our visitors to follow. To view these rules, click on the links below:
*IMPORTANT*: We will be asking a representative from each group to sign a Waiver of Liability form before attending. Please download the form, review the rules, and sign it. Then send or bring it before your party or event begins. You may mail it to the address at the bottom of this page. The person who signs for your group will be responsible for making sure everyone in that group gets the information before the day of the event. If you want to have everyone in your group sign a waiver, that's up to you, but we only want one waiver per group.

Harris Pond Reservation Requests
Our number one priority in scheduling our place is to our immediate family and immediate extended family. With this in mind, we use the following criteria to reserve a time spot at Harris Pond:
If you or your group are directly affiliated with an immediate family member (Jeff, Rebecca, or one of their children), and they are participants in your event, you may request, through them, a spot at any time.
If you or your group are affiliated with an extended family member (Brothers, Sisters, Aunts, Uncles, 1st Cousins, etc.), and they are participants in your event, you may request, through them, a spot up to a year in advance.
If you or your group are friends with or have someone in your group who knows someone in the Harris family, you may request a spot starting on January 1st of the year you want to attend. If there is any time left, you will be given a spot on a 1st come, 1st serve basis.
*We also reserve the right to schedule any event for persons that have made large contributions, of time or materials for the building of our facility or to our family, at any time.
Other determining factors:
Friday & Saturday requests will be split into Day and afternoon slots for groups under 150 people. (This is to help accommodate the increasing number of requests) Also, groups smaller than 50 will be encouraged to choose a day other than Saturday.
There will be no spots given out on Sunday's or Monday's. These are Harris immediate family days only.
Generally, overnighters are reserved only for groups whose participants are directly related to the immediate Jeff Harris family.
Exceptions:
Extended Family may request an overnighter in the middle of the week, but weekends will generally not be given out, unless an immediate family member is a participant, so that more people have the opportunity to enjoy the pond.
Some exceptions will also be made for church or scout groups who want a spot in the middle of the week
